Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, beat the mascarpone cheese, heavy cream, and powdered sugar until smooth and creamy.
  • Stir in the cooled espresso and coffee liqueur until well combined.
  • Fold in the crushed ladyfinger cookies until evenly distributed.
  • Refrigerate the mixture for about 1 hour until firm.
  • Once chilled, use a small scoop or your hands to form the mixture into bite-sized truffles.
  • Roll each truffle in cocoa powder to coat.
  • Optionally, sprinkle chocolate shavings on top for garnish.
  • Store in the refrigerator until ready to serve.

Notes

For the best flavor, use high-quality espresso and mascarpone. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to a week.
