Taco Filling

Toppings

  • 3.5 cups 3½ cups freshly shredded Colby and Monterey Jack cheese Creamy and melty, binds everything together.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F.
  • Unroll one crescent dough sheet onto an ungreased baking sheet and stretch it to cover half of the sheet. Repeat with the second sheet, overlapping slightly in the middle and sealing the seams.
  • Bake the crust for about 10 minutes or until golden brown.

Cooking the Filling

  • Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the lean ground beef and cook until no longer pink, about 5-6 minutes.
  • Drain the excess fat, then stir in taco seasoning and water, simmering for 5 minutes until thickened.

Assembling the Pizza

  • Spread the cooked taco meat evenly across the baked crust and top with shredded cheese.
  • Return to the oven to bake for an additional 4-5 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Garnish with grape tomatoes and green onions. Optionally add cilantro, sour cream, or hot sauce before serving.

Notes
