Preparation

  • Cook the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  • Stir in taco seasoning and let it simmer for a few minutes.

Layering

  • In a slow cooker, layer half of the hash browns, half of the seasoned beef, a third of the salsa, and a third of the cheese.
  • Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients.
  • Top with the remaining salsa and sour cream.

Cooking

  • Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 4 to 6 hours.

Serving

  • Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.

Notes
