Cream Base

  • 3 Tbsp. confectioners' sugar Helps whip the cream to perfection.
  • 6 cups heavy cream, divided Essential for fluffy layers.
  • 16 oz. mascarpone, room temperature Adds silky texture and mild flavor.

Layering Ingredients

  • 48 ladyfingers Provides structure and soaks up flavors.
  • 2/3 cup triple sec Can substitute with orange juice for a non-alcoholic version.
  • 1 (13-oz. jar) strawberry jam Brings fruity sweetness.
  • 3 Tbsp. crushed freeze-dried strawberries Adds color and extra flavor.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, beat the confectioners' sugar and 3 cups heavy cream until medium peaks form.
  • Add mascarpone cheese and mix until just combined.

Layering

  • Combine the remaining heavy cream and triple sec in a dish. Dip ladyfingers briefly and layer them in a baking dish.
  • Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.
  • Spread strawberry jam over the mascarpone layer.
  • Repeat with the remaining ladyfingers and mascarpone.

Chilling

  • Refrigerate for at least 3 hours or overnight.
  • Before serving, sprinkle with crushed freeze-dried strawberries.

Notes

Ensure mascarpone is at room temperature before mixing. For a vibrant color contrast, consider folding in fresh strawberries. Use fresh strawberries to garnish just before serving.
