Preparation

  • Grease your baking dish with oil or butter to prevent sticking.
  • Layer the cooked sausage at the bottom, followed by optional bread cubes and chopped vegetables.
  • Pour the egg mixture over the layers, ensuring it soaks into everything.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheese generously over the top.

Baking

  • Bake the casserole for 30-35 minutes, or until the eggs are set and the cheese is melted.
  • Allow it to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For a healthier twist, use turkey sausage and consider reducing cheese or adding more vegetables. Can be prepared ahead of time.
