Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Unwrap the log of sugar cookie dough and slice it into 16 half-inch thick pieces.
  • Roll the slices into balls and flatten them into disks about half an inch thick.
  • Spread the nonpareils on plates and roll each disk in the sprinkles until coated.
  • Transfer the coated disks to parchment-lined baking sheets.

Baking

  • Bake until they begin to spread, about 2 minutes.
  • Open the Pillsbury Shape cookie dough package and place one shape on top of each sugar cookie.
  • Continue baking until the edges turn golden brown, about 10 to 12 minutes more.
