  • 1 tsp smoked paprika Adds warmth.
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce For depth of flavor.
  • 0.5 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your favorite) Adds creaminess.
  • 2 tbsp olive oil For brushing the cabbage.
  • 1 egg (optional) To bind the meat mixture.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Brush both sides of the cabbage slices with olive oil.
  • In a bowl, mix the ground beef (or turkey), chopped onions, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and Worcestershire sauce until combined. If using, add the egg to bind everything together.
  • Form patties from the meat mixture and place each on a cabbage slice.
  • Arrange on a baking sheet and bake for 25 minutes.
  • Remove from oven, add cheese on top, and broil for 3-5 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs or your favorite sauce.

Notes

For added flavor, consider adding herbs like parsley or cilantro to the meat mixture. For a vegetarian option, substitute ground meat with beans or lentils.
