Instructions

Preparation

  • Begin by marinating the chicken thighs in a bowl with soy sauce, sriracha, and ground black pepper. Let soak for at least 30 minutes.

Cooking Chicken

  • Warm vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook marinated chicken thighs for 5-7 minutes on each side until fully cooked. Slice into bite-sized pieces and set aside.

Making the Broth

  • In the same skillet, sauté minced garlic and grated ginger for about 2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Pour in chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Add chili paste, sesame oil, and mirin, and let simmer together for about 10 minutes.

Cooking Ramen

  • In a separate pot, cook ramen noodles according to package directions, usually for 2-3 minutes, then drain and set aside.

Making Creamy Sauce

  • Melt butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Add remaining minced garlic and cook until fragrant, then pour in heavy cream. Let simmer until slightly thickened.

Combining Ingredients

  • Combine sliced chicken, cooked ramen noodles, and crunchy bean sprouts in the broth, stirring gently to meld the flavors.

Serving

  • Ladle ramen into bowls and drizzle creamy garlic sauce over the top. Garnish with sliced green onions, jalapeños, boiled eggs, sesame seeds, lime wedges, and cilantro as desired.

Notes

Customize spice level by adjusting sriracha and chili paste. Add vegetables like bok choy or mushrooms for nutrition. For varied flavors, consider adding spices such as star anise or cinnamon sticks.
